The Client

Your Portfolio
Investors with or wanting to build or add an element of higher risk to their portfolios can do so at YTM Stockbrokers. We offer a range of products and services, ranging from Blue Chip stocks to small and medium capitalisation stocks (direct equity investments) to more complex products like CFD’s and Futures & Options. Whether it is portfolio valuations or individual stock assessments, we are more than happy to offer our services.

Diversification & Time
When investing in shares, we recommend to all clients they have a sensible spread of investments. A diversified portfolio helps to reduce the risk associated with risky shares, and does away with the adage of ‘putting all your eggs in one basket’. The spread should be made between markets, sectors and where possible economies. Similarly, as backed-up by studies, the investor should be prepared to invest for long, rather than short investment horizons.

Taxation
With certain stock market investments are a number of taxation advantages exist. Purchasing Barclays shares via a CFD’s for example, does away with stamp duty charges. Similarly, holding AIM stocks for longer than 2 years reduces capital gains tax charges. There are many tax implications and benefits associated with varying stock market investments. YTM Stockbrokers are at hand to assist all our investors.

Dealing Charges
Execution only dealing services are associated with low dealing charges. Conversely, advisory and discretionary management services attract high dealing costs. Whilst YTM Stockbrokers acknowledge that investors want to minimise their cost so as to maximise their returns, we aim to offer our services at competitive rates in line with market competitors. We offer varying charges depending on the services required by our clients.

No Guarantees
In short, there are no guarantees to any stock market investment. Whether large or small, established or fledgling, the company invested in could experience difficulties and become insolvent. All of our current and prospective clients must understand that they could risk losing all of their investment, or possibly more (as in the case of derivative products).
